Teleferic Montjuïc


Take advantage of the fun and fantastic use of the famous Teleferic Montjuic, otherwise known as the Montjuic Cable Car for those who aren’t too brushed up on their Spanish. Starting from the lower terminus adjacent to the Montjuic Park upper station of the Montjuic funicular, the cable car climbs up higher to through the Montjuic hill to a terminal near the Montjuic Castle on the summit of the hill. While you begin to reach the midpoint of the ride, you will experience a 90 degree turn as the cabins pass through Mirador station. With a length of 752 meters (2,467 feet), you are guaranteed to see incredible views and panormas of the city beneath you.

Operated by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) and complete reconstructed in the year 2007, there are now a total of 55 different cable cars and although the high seasons brings large crowds, waiting in line for your turn to ride the Teleferic Montjuic is well worth it. Get your camera ready to take pictures throughout the entire cable car ride and be prepared to see some of the most beautiful views of the city available.
